In 1977, Flavio Passuello began his activity in the radiant plating fittings and accessories sector by founding SAMI srl.
Following a merger with an engineering company in 1995, SAMI became COMMITAL-SAMI SpA.
To guarantee its quality, in 1998 the entire Commital-Sami production was quality certified to the DIN EN ISO 9002:1994 standard. In November 1998, Commital-Sami set up a German branch through which it manufactures about 85,000,000 plate spacers.
At the start of 2004 it also launched a site in Turkey called COMMITAL LTD, dedicated to fittings for the heating sector.
 
Today Commital-Sami has a 120-unit workforce in 3 work centres for a total covered surface of 13,000 square metres.

From the almost exclusively local, family environment the company worked in, over the years it has consolidated and strengthened its position in Europe.
At present, Commital-Sami is strongly present in  the following markets: Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Austria, and of course Italy.
Such a strong presence on markets that are traditionally demanding is mainly due  to the “Quality/Price” ratio that  Commital-Sami can guarantee for each product.

To diversify production somewhat, in 2001 it started to create high technology content products in the "steam sector".
